A static mixer is claimed, in which the liquid components flow along sets of corrugated plates (3,3') so that flows from corresponding members of a set of plates meet at right angles, but in different planes. The plates extend partially over the internal diameter of the cylindrical mixing vessel (2). Also claimed is the process using this mixer.
