A heating/cooling unit (10) used in a room air conditioning system comprises a heat medium conducting panel (11) into which a heat medium is selectively conducted from a boiler (200) and a refrigerator (300), so that a room of a house or a compartment of a office building is selectively warmed and cooled in response to demand. The heat medium conducting panel (11) forms a front end of a casing (100) of the heating/cooling unit (10). As a result, an increase in the outer dimensions of the heating/cooling unit (10) is effectively prevented.
