METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR BENDING PROCESSING OF POLYCARBONATE RESIN PANEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep the impact strength of the bent part of a polycarbonate resin panel high and uniform. SOLUTION: A bending processing apparatus is constituted of a female mold 1 wherein a heater 3 having an upper flat surface made freely liftable between the upper position almost flush with the upper surface of the female mold and the lower position retracted in the molding recessed part 2 of the female mold and the elastic member 4 always energizing the heater 3 to the upper position are provided in the molding recessed part of the femal mold 1 and the bending upper mold 5 falling toward the molding recessed part 2. This apparatus is used to place a polycarbonate resin panel P on the female mold 1 to heat the same to predetermined temp. and the bending upper mold 5 is allowed to fall toward the molding recessed part 2 from the part above the polycarbonate resin panel P and the polycarbonate resin panel P is bent at a predetermined angle while the heater 3 is pressed to the panel P against the elastic member 4.
