PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a sound weld zone without need for removal of a coating layer previous to the welding and without developing welded crack. SOLUTION: Before welding a stainless steel coated with Al or Al-Si alloy, heat treatment for alloying the coating layer and the matrix stainless steel is applied at least to the part to be welded. By this method, the Al single body in the coating layer is changed to the high m.p. of Al compound and the defective weldablity caused by the residue of low m.p. liquid phase and the pulverization at the time of welding, is eliminated.
