摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain oxytitanium phthalocyanine crystals reduced in particle size, and excellent in stability, photoelectric transduction, etc., by agitating fine amorphous particles of oxytitanium phthalocyanine in a triether org. solvent. SOLUTION: Fine amorphous particles of oxytitanium phthalocyanine of the formula is put into a triether org. solvent, and then well agitated, followed by withdrawal and drying of the solid, thus preparing oxytitanium phthalocyanine crystals having strong peaks at Bragg angles 2θ±0.2 deg. of 9.6 deg., 24.2 deg. and 27.3 deg., and weak broad peals at Bragg angles 2θ±0.2 deg. of 11.6 deg., 13.5 deg., 14.3 deg. and 18.1 deg. in CuKαcharacteristic X-ray diffractiometry, and having a heat dissipation peak around 266 deg.C in differential thermal analysis. Suitable examples of the triether org. solvent include diethylene glycol dimethyl ether and 2,5- diethoxytetrahydrofuran. The resulting crystals are then incorporated into a photosensitive layer to obtain an electrophotographic photoreceptor.
