PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of easily forming spots from large size to small size and suitable for finishing a multicolor pattern of a precoated building material mass-produced at a factory especially in the method in which the multicolor pattern is finished by applying plural liq. coating materials different in color in spot-like respectively. SOLUTION: In the method in which the multicolor pattern is finished by applying plural liq. coating materials different in color in spot-like respectively by using plural air mixing coating guns, a coating is executed under the condition in which an inner diameter of a nozzle tip part of the air mixing coating gun is 1-4mmϕ, a coating pressure is 0.5-10kg/cm<2> , an air mixing air pressure is 0.1-4kg/cm<2> , an air effluent amount is 40-100l/min and a distance between a gun tip and a surface to be coated is 300-1,500mm.
