PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain socks capable of preventing the contact of toes in worn state and having the appearance of the toe part completely the same as that of ordinary socks and to provide a method for knitting the socks. SOLUTION: A bag-shaped inner toe part 4 is knit in the inside of a bag- shaped toe part 3 of the main body 1 of the sock to form a double-structure exclusively at the toe part 2 of the tip of the sock main body 1. Exclusively the inner toe part 4 is knit from the closed tip part 4a toward the opening at a length corresponding to the length of the toe of the foot to form a toe- insertion part 7.
