PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lit an ivying-up preventing device so as not to be dropped from a sight line of a pole by opening a cylindrical body having a first semi- cylindrical body and a second semi-cylindrical body by a hinge part, inserting a wire between the first and second semi-cylindrical body, and holding the wire by a built-in wire locking unit. SOLUTION: A wire locking unit 30 is built in a cylindrical body 2. The cylindrical body 2 is provided with first and second semi-cylindrical bodies 4, 5 and the cylindrical bodies are connected to each other by a hinge part 6 in an integrated manner. A wire unit 30 is fitted to a fitting pedestal 13 provided in the vicinity of one end part in the longitudinal direction of the first semi-cylindrical body 4. A wire 13 to form a sight line is held between the first and second semi-cylindrical bodies 4, 5 and fitted thereto. The wire 13 is held by the built-in wire locking unit 30, which is locked to the wire 13. The number of the built-in wire locking units 30 is selected corresponding to the installation place of an ivying-up preventing device 1. The liana such as ivy can be prevented from ivying up.
