PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage treatment apparatus in which garbage is decomposed by microorganisms, and odorous components are purified over a long period of time. SOLUTION: In a garbage treatment apparatus equipped with a treatment chamber 1 for treating garbage and a purification chamber 2 for purifying gas containing odorous components discharged from the chamber 1, garbage is decomposed by microorganisms in the chamber 1, the chamber 2 has zones, an ammonia purification apparatus is installed in the first purification chamber 10 adjacent to the chamber 1, and a non ammonia purification apparatus which purifies non-ammonia gases is provided in the second purification chamber 30 to which gas which passed through the first purification chamber 10 is introduced. Ammonia of high concentration and high threshold is removed first in the first purification chamber 10, and then non-ammonia gases of low concentration and low threshold are removed so that high purification efficiency is obtained. |
