The jig (11) secures the workpieces in position for welding or gluing together. It incorporates identical strips assembled together in a packet (12,13) and resting on a mounting (14) for the jig. The recesses in the strips together form recesses in the packet (12) which accommodate and position parts (18,19) of the work (17) to be mounted on the jig. The strips can be stamped out of sheet material, and can be secured together by fixing devices. Adjusting components (20) for the position of the work can be provided in the recesses, together with clamps (25) for it, these working with links of the same material as the strips. |
