PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the radio communication terminal equipment provided with a data communication function that transmits data without provision of an exclusive use data transmission connector. SOLUTION: A communication mode discrimination means 61 discriminates a mode on request when the user operates a key entry section 64 to make the mode switching request. Then a mode switching control means 62 applies switching control to a mode changeover switch 54 corresponding to the discrimination result. In this switching control, in the case of inputting/outputting a usual voice signal via an acoustic jack 53, the acoustic jack 53 and a speech section 4 are connected, and in the case of conducting data communication with a personal computer, the acoustic jack 53 is connected to a TDMA section 3 via a digital input output section 55. The digital input output section 55 acts like interfacing the signal inputted/outputted to/from the TDMA section 3 and a signal inputted/outputted to/from the acoustic jack 53.
