PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste toner recovery device in which waste toner is housed nearly in a full state and where the maintainability is improved. SOLUTION: An air duct 26 is connected to a waste toner carrying pipe 24, and a fan 28 is attached to the inner part of the duct 26. The fan 28 sends air going toward a waste toner container 22 to the inside of the pipe 24, and an opening/closing valve 30 is provided at a joint part between the pipe 24 and the duct 26. The valve 30 is turned in a direction shown by an arrow A centering a turning shaft 30a, and positioned at either an opening position where the air going in an opposite direction to the direction where the air goes toward the container 22 is intercepted or a closing position where the fan 28 and the pipe 24 are shut off. |
