PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress scorching of an optical product having an inorg. coating film. SOLUTION: This optical article has a single layer or multilayered inorg. coating film formed on a substrate. The inorg. coating film has such features that the outermost layer essentially consists silicon oxide, that a compsn. containing at least one kind of silane compd. expressed by formula or its oligomer or polymer is made to react or absorb to the inorg. coating film, and that surface of the inorg. coating film to which the compsn. above described is made to react or adsorb has >=101 deg. static contact angle with water. In formula, R<1> is an org. group containing fluorine, R<2> , R<3> , R<4> are hydrogen or org. groups, (a), (b), (c) satisfy 1<=a<=3, 0<=b<=2, 1<=c<=3. |
