PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of a fixation jam by forming a large picture margin region more than or equal to a normally set picture margin region at the top end of an image, in a nonimage forming device, when it is judged that carrying after fixing is abnormal. SOLUTION: An ejected paper detecting sensor 21 is between a pair of fixing/ ejecting rollers 19 and 20 and an ejecting roller 18, to monitor the fact that a transfer paper passes through within a set time or not. The ejected paper detecting sensor 21 detects the presence of the passage of the transfer paper, from the case a filler pushed by the transfer paper intercepts an optical path or not. It is judged whether fixing/carrying are abnormal or not from the counted abnormality frequency of fixing/carrying. For instance, setting is attained so as to make a judgment that abnormality occurs when the number of sheets having the abnormality of fixing/carrying is five out of the last 50 sheets. Then, it is judged that fixing is abnormal and when the same transfer sheet size abnormality occurs, an image top end margin longer than a normally set one by 2mm is formed. In other words, the image top end margin is calculated and an erasing time is set from the void space. |
