PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sheet skin material excellent in moisture-absorbing and releasing property and capable of reducing stuffy feeling by applying a composition comprising an inorganic porous body having honeycomb type skeleton and a polymer latex to a base fabric. SOLUTION: This sheet skin material is obtained by blending 100 pts.wt. polymer latex such as an acrylic resin or a vinyl acetate-based resin with 5-200 pts.wt., preferably 10-150 pts.wt. silica-based moso porous body having honeycomb-like skeleton, in which center pore diameter exhibiting maximum peak in pore diameter distribution curve is in the range of 1-10mm and 60% of total pore volume is contained within the range of±40% of the center pore diameter to prepare a synthetic resin composition and applying the resin composition to a polyester fiber base fabric.
