摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of cooling medium evaporated from the extremely low temperature vessel of a magnetic measuring instrument. SOLUTION: This instrument is provided with an extremely low temperature vessel CR having a dome-shaped bottom part D for housing the head of a human being, a lot of magnetic sensor units 10 erected on the inner face of bottom part D of that extremely low temperature vessel CR, interface device 20 for receiving output signals from these magnetic sensor units 10 through lead wires 4, information processor 30 for finding the magnetic distribution of space around the head by analyzing the output signals from a lot of magnetic sensor units 10 and for calculating information concerning the activity of the brain B from that magnetic distribution, and display device 40 for displaying this calculated information. The magnetic sensor units 10 are guided through a guide line G, pushed in from a small opening OP and erected at the sections to erect the magnetic sensor units 10. Thus, the size of the opening of the extremely low temperature vessel can be reduced and the ratio of cooling medium to be evaporated from the extremely low temperature vessel can be reduced. Therefore, operating costs can be reduced.
