<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the ratio of the size and effective range of a tablet, improve the position precision, and improve the usability, by correcting the distortion at an indication position due to the peripheral effect of the eccentric spiral tablet with the linear pattern of the tablet. SOLUTION: As for a digitizer which uses an eccentric spiral coil and consists of an X-axial position detection tablet 1, a Y-axial position detection tablet 2, a position indicator 5, and a data processing part, a) An indication error (strain of indication position) is regarded as a tablet pattern to be corrected. The pattern of the correction axis is moved according to an error. b) Both side parts where exert large influence of the peripheral effect is large and are effective to position detection are magnetically shielded to eliminate the influence. c) An indication error is corrected with a data value. d) The eccentric spiral tablet is used and so combined to make mutual correction. This method makes it possible to correct the height of the position indicator 5. Then a), b), c), and d) are combined properly to make the correction.</p> |
