<p>A housing assembly (10) for enclosing and storing cables splices comprises axially spaced end plates (18, 20) defining a storage space (16) and joined by a pair of rigid torque bars (63, 65). A pair of opposed housing members (12, 14) contoured to enclose the end plates (18, 20) and the storage space (16) are releasably and sealing clamped (24) to each other and to end plates (18, 20). Carried by one of the bars (63, 65) at axially spaced locations are a pair of spaced rods which support a plurality of splice storage trays (69) in stacked relationship.</p> |
