PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the lyrics pattern not to be disturbed by an inserted picture by assuming the place, in which the lyrics pattern is changed its color on a monitor screen, as the detected display region of the lyrics pattern and displaying an inserted picture at the place other than the detected region. SOLUTION: A lyrics control means 18 displays lyrics 20. A picture control means 14 displays the animation extracted from a background picture storage means 16 or a background picture 22 such as a still picture on a monitor 12. Then, an imaging device 24 such as a CCD camera images a singer 26 and the video signals are inserted into the screen of the monitor 12 as an inserted picture 32 through a video picture control means 30. At that time, the lyrics 20 are written over the picture 32 or displayed at the position which is separated from the picture 32. A lyrics position detecting means 50a detects the portion of the lyrics 20, in which the color is varied in accordance with the music, outputs a frame 50b, which includes the color changed portion, as a display inhibited region. Then, a display range setting means 50 displays the picture 32 in a region 50c which is other than the frame 50b. |
