<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect a metallic matter and a nonmetallic matter in an object to be detected by forcing a nonmetallic substance to have a fixed thickness between an eddy current sensor and the metallic matter to detect the distance to the metallic matter as thickness of the non-metallic matter. SOLUTION: For example, an instant noodle 1 in which a metallic bag body 5 (powder soup) and a non-metallic bag body 5 (liquid soup) made of a synthetic resin or the like are placed on a noodle mass 2 to be housed into a bag 20 made of a synthetic resin or the like is conveyed to a detecting section. At the detecting section, the liquid soup is gathered forward in a bag 4 by a pressing force of a plate 16 and a tension of a belt 14 from above while the instant noodle 1 is conveyed by a conveyor and two conveying belts 14 arranged as opposed to each other so that the bag 4 is given a fixed thickness and the plate 15 internally equipped with an eddy current sensor 15 is brought into contact with the top surface of the instant noodle 1 to detect the distance to the bag body 5 as thickness of the bag body 4. Then, when a fixed distance A is detected for a fixed time length, an acceptable product is determined having both the bag bodies 4 and 5 existing therein. Otherwise, a rejection is determined.</p> |
