PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make free the direction of a deep pan placed on a top plate, improve the convenience in handling, prevent the deep pan from side slip and falling off, and heighten the safety by fitting a circular guard slidably in a groove formed on the top plate or a resin case of the cooking apparatus. SOLUTION: The body of a cooking apparatus 10 has a groove provided on a top plate 11 in a circular form made of ceramic glass or a resin case to which the top plate 11 is adhered, and a circular guard 18 is fitted in this groove 20 slidably. When a high frequency current flows to an induction heating coil 13, a line of magnetic force is produced, penetrates the top plate 11, and heats the bottom surface of a deep pan for cooking 21 placed on the top plate 11. At cooking, it may happen that the deep pan 21 is dislocated sideways or falls off from the body 10 resulting from application of an excessive force on the pan 21 by a trowel, etc., but such occurrence is prevented by supporting with the guard 18. Because the guard 18 is fitted between the top plate 11 and case 12 slidably, it is possible to move the direction where the grip of the pan exists any as desired. Accordingly a user in cooking is precluded from the risk of a burn caused by touching the side face of the pan 21 undeliberately. |
