<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to use energy stored in a battery effectively by eliminating a memory effect of the battery. SOLUTION: Battery packs 1, 2 are connected to a circuit section through switching means 3, 4 and 5, 6 respectively. Usually, one of the switching means is turned on and power is supplied by that switching means. When a residual capacity of the battery which is supplying power is detected and the detected value is a specified level or below, the battery is changed over to the other battery and the battery which has been used is forcibly discharged. The discharging current is used for charging the other battery by a DC-DC converter 40a.</p> |
