<p>A user-friendly electronic dictionary which can be used by a plurality of users by modifying the display in accordance with the information about the times and frequency of retrievals. There are provided a keyboard (1a), a mouse (1b), a dictionary memory (6) in which a document is electronically stored beforehand, mark files (7-1, ..., 7-n) in which property information about the documents which are retrieved at least once form the dictionary memory (6) is stored, a display (5) on which the retrieved document is displayed and a CPU (3) which receives the output signals of the input means (1a and 1b) and retrieves a document from the dictionary memory (6) and displays the retrieved document on the display unit (5). The color of the displayed document is changed in accordance with the property of the mark file (7). The mark files (7) are provided for every users.</p> |
