Compounds of the formula wherein R is hydrogen, fluorine, or hydroxy, R2 is hydrogen, lower alkyl or halogen, X is =CH2 or when R is hydroxy, X is (H,H) or =CH2, are useful in the treatment of hyperproliferative skin disorders, neoplastic diseases, sebaceous gland diseases, and conditions associated with photodamaged skin.
