PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high bulk density granular detergent composition which has the stability of odor with time, remains good smell in washed clothes even after it is stored for a long period of time by mixing a crystalline laminar silicate salt, a nonionic surfactant or polyethylene glycol and perfume into a granular detergent. SOLUTION: This detergent composition contains surfactants with a bulk density of >=0.6g/ml and comprises (A) 1-20wt.% of a crystalline laminar silicate salt (for example, sodiumα-disilicate), (B) 0.2-2wt.% of a nonionic surfactant (suitably an adduct of 5-10 moles of ethylene oxide to a primary or secondary 8-14C alcohol) or polyethylene glycol (C) 0.05-0.3wt.% of a perfume. The objective composition is prepared by kneading an aqueous slurry containing surfactants and a nonionic surfactant, crushing and granulating them, then mixing the granules which a water-insoluble fine-particle powder to form a granular detergent and powder-mixing the granular detergent with the components A, B and C or spraying the detergent with these components. The particle size of the component A is preferably 5-1,000μm. |
