Multipump lubrication oil supply device with self-cleaning sediment filter and separator e.g. for large marine diesel engine

The lubricator incorporates parallel low-pressure priming pumps (8) for high-pressure delivery pumps (15) drawing oil from the same tank (5). The low-pressure oil, after cooling (9) and filtration (10) of large (50- mu mesh) impurities, is divided between the sump (4) and a preferably 6- mu mesh filter (16) which supplies the high-pressure pumps. The sediment, diverted (17) to an e.g. centrifugal separator (19) assisted by another pump (20), is collected in a container (23) while clean oil is returned (21) to the tank. To prevent dry-running of this loop, shortfall of sediment can be made up by oil drawn (25) from the tank through a switching device (24).
