Spiral heat exchanger

The spiral heat exchanger has exchange channels round a core region (1), formed by spiral metal strips (14, 15). There are end chambers in the for region to supply and remove the heat exchange fluids. The core zone includes a one-piece cylindrical central body (3) in which the end chambers are formed as connected radial slots (9, 10). The radial slots are directed longitudinally. They are connected from the endface of the central body via borings (6, 7). The slots may have their greatest radial depth on the connection region on the endface side (4, 5). Their depth may also decrease towards the other endface side.
