摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain high performance ferrite magnet by compressing, forming, and heat-treating slurry by the magnetic field in the compressing direction. The slurry is obtained from a permanent magnet material wherein M is composed of one or more elements of Ba, Sr, and Pb and its texture is composed of Mo.nFe2O3 where n=5.4...6.2. CONSTITUTION:Slurry is obtained by finely pulverizing an oxide-permanent magnet material wherein M is composed of one or more elements of Ba, Sr, and Pb and its texture is composed of Mo.nFe2O3 where n=5.4...6.2. The slurry is enclosed in a die container for compressing and forming. Nonmagnetic upper and lower punches 1 and 2 and dies 3 are provided, and a yoke 4 and field generating coils 5 are provided in the space between the upper and lower punches so that the yoke and coils are arranged at a right angle to the punches in the close proximity and at symmetrical positions. The slurry is compressed and formed in a slurry filled chamber 6 by the magnetic field in the compressing direction. The formed body is sintered so as to obtain a volumn portion with porosity of 10%, and it is compressed by a hydrostatic press in the heat. Then, the high density sintered body is heat-treated in oxygen below the heating temperature by the hydrostatic press in the heat, thereby the high-performance ferrite magnet can be manufactured.
