The device for testing empty condition of containers, includes a hollow essentially rotation symmetrical housing (1), with one or more rinsing connections (2) fitted at the side. A piston tube (3) essentially rotation symmetrical, is closed at both sides, and is movably located axially. A sensor element (4) is fitted in the inside of the piston tube, at the level of the one or more piston tube openings (5), and a lead (6) is provided for the further conducting of the sensor signals. A drive element (7) is provided for the stepless travelling in and out of the piston tube from the housing (1).
