PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make improvement in heat resistance and moldability by forming an elastic body to be filled up in space between an inner cylinder and an outer cylinder, with a thermoplastic material of the specified compression set. SOLUTION: In this vibration control boss, an inner cylinder 3 of metal or resin, or the like is installed in the inner part of an outer cylinder 2 of metal or resin and so on in parallel with this outer cylinder 2, while an elastic body 4 is filled up in space between the inner cylinder 3 and the outer cylinder 2, and this elastic body 4 is made up of a thermoplastic material of 70% and below of compression set in JIS K 6301 standard (70 deg.C). Materials of both these inner and outer cylinders 2 and 3 are not specially restricted, but from the standpoint of workability and moldability or the like, thermoplastic resin is desirable, namely, styrene resin, olefinic resin or the like, and further this elastic body 4 is recommended to use a thermoplastic polymeric organic material of more than number-average molecular weight 20000, so those of styrene and ester are enumerated. As for the manufacture, when the inner cylinder 3 the outer cylinder 2 are made of metal, it is an insert forming process, but when they are made of the thermoplastic material, a bicolor forming process is usable. With the abovementioned, such one that has a good heat resistant elastic body and excellent in moldability is thus securable. |
