The tool includes a section designed to be automatically secured to the cables when a pull force is applied to the tool by the drum. MECHANICAL ENGINEERING - PREFERRED FEATURES : The cable securing section comprises a flexible pull cable (2) attached to an anchor rod (1) and capable of being wound around the cables being layed and the rod. The pull cable is attached to an openable eyelet (6) attachable to the winch drum and to a fixed eylet (3) at the end of the anchor rod. The pull cable can be passed through an openable eyelet (4) attached to a fixed eyelet (5) at the opposite end of the rod. |
