CARBONIZATION OF WASTE RESIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the sure practice of carbonization. SOLUTION: A volume-reduced waste resin 38 under a waste resin layer 40 is melted by ignition, made to flow down in a lower demister 50 and burned corresponding to air for combustion to consume oxygen. Thereby, the oxygen is not fed to the upper part of the lower demister 50 and the volume-reduced waste resin 38 is prevented from catching a fire. Heat produced by the combustion is used to carbonize the volume-reduced waste resin 38 of the waste resin layer 40 by the radiation and heat transfer in the lower demister 50. The fire is then caught by the waste resin layer 40 in the latter half of the carbonization to recover the heat produced thereby with an upper demister 56. The heat is subsequently supplied to the volume-reduced waste resin 38 to promote the carbonization.
