PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print only specified colors in high density without lowering the printing speed. SOLUTION: A printer is provided with a high density printing head 21d for the black color (K) and ordinary density printing heads 21a, 21b and 21c used for colors other than the black color (K). The high density printing head 21 is provided with a plurality of dot printing elements in the moving direction, and printing data indicated by an attribute buffer 45 is output from a printing head driving section 19 to dot printing elements so that dots are formed overlappingly on the positions almost same as the positions of recording media or on the positions adjoining the recording media for respective printing elements. |
