PURPOSE:To obtain a piston having high mechanical strength and durability at a low cost and with a high yield by means of casting by conducting the first clamping process, the first filling process, the second clamping process, and the second filling process, in a sequential manner. CONSTITUTION:In the first clamping process, a mobile die 9 is driven by an air cylinder 10 to be held at a projected position P1. In the first filling process, main molten metal is poured from a gate 22. In the second clamping process, an air cylinder 23 is driven, so that a switch mobile die 9 is switched to be shifted to a retreat position P0. In the second filling process, dissimilar, molten metal having high wear resistance is poured from a gate 23 into the second casting space A2. With this procedure, a piston having high mechanical strength and durability can be cast at low cost and with a high yield. |
