System for locking and unlocking objects together

The system has at least one locking element (18,20) movably attached to the first object (14). It also has an actuator section (34) at a rear end of an elongate shaft (28), and a locking member (30). An end of the locking member extends from the front end of the shaft and forms a locking surface. The first object (14) has a feedthrough (64,66). This is configured and dimensioned to enable the locking elements to pass through in such a way that the actuator is arranged at the rear end and is released for a manipulation. The front end of the locking element shaft extends out from the from end of the feedthrough. The locking element can rotate inside the feedthrough. The second object (12) has a locking member recess (78) and a cooperating locking member. The first object (14) has a channel (70) along the feedthrough. This enables passage of the locking projection on inserting the locking element into the feedthrough. The front end of the feedthrough defines a forwardly extending strip which prevents backwards movement of the locking element. The channel has a control surface near the front end to strike the locking projection during mounting so as to apply a torque to the locking element shaft when rotary movement of the actuator through the shaft is blocked. The shaft is thus rotated during assembly until the locking element projection passes the strip and the shaft springs back. The locking element is fixed in the feedthrough of the first object.
