The machine has a central control unit, a sound reproduction arrangement and a number of control keys (4) for influencing the course of a game which interact with the central control unit. At least during periods of no play, a device for generating and reproducing sounds can be activated using the control keys, whereby each control key is associated with at least one sound different from he other control keys.
