The warming device has a heat store plate (11) with upper stand surface for the object being warmed and detachably connected to a frame (12) which has at least one support bearing (24) for the heat store plate and at least one engagement member (17) to interact with a corresponding holder (18) on the plate. On moving the plate relative to the frame in a direction parallel with the stand face the engagement member engages with the holder and the plate lies in the reverse position with the stand face downwards so that the heat store plate can be lifted with the frame and transported. The engagement member or holder has three or more projections engaging in recesses.
