The appliance has a common track (11) for a first drawing carriage (14), moving along a first section (12) directly behind the drawing nozzle, and a second drawing carriage (16), moving along a second section (13) of the same length. The carriages are controlled, so that one draws the tubes at an even speed, while the second one returns to its original positions. Both carriages draw synchronously during a short-term transitional phase. For each drawing carriage, the maximum return speed is higher than the drawing speed. Both carriages have clamping devices (15,17) of approximately 1 m length, moving parallel and at right angles to the axis of the tubes, during un/clamping.
