PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a styrene resin having excellent impact resistance, creeping resistance and transparency, low residual strain and good chemical resistance by specifying the zero-shear viscosity and the equilibrium recovery compliance. SOLUTION: This resin has a zero-shear viscosity of 9×10<4> P or above at a resin temperature of 220 deg.C and an equilibrium recovery compliance of 4×10<-5> cm<2> /dyn or below. To reduce the styrene resin, a suspension polymerization process, a bulk polymerization process, a solution polymerization process, an emulsion polymerization process or the like can be used, and each process may be any of continuous and batchwise ones. The process for molding this resin is desirably injection molding or compression molding.
