PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new carbon monoxide-adsorbing agent which is useful to separate carbon monoxide, an important raw material in chemical industries. SOLUTION: This carbon monoxide-absorbing agent is a composite body produced by depositing a binary complex consisting of a diamine compound having the defined chemical formula and a copper (I) halide on a silica gel. In the chemical formula, (n) stands for 2 or 3 and in the case (n) is 2, at least two of R<1> , R<2> , R<3> , R<4> are an alkyl of 1-4 carbons and in the case (n) is 3, at least one of R<1> , R<2> , R<3> , R<4> is an alkyl of 1-4 carbons and the rest are hydrogen atoms. |
