<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent system-down due to a fault or the like while keeping a standard level of LAN emulation by setting connection to a succeeding server automatically when a server falls in a link interrupt state. SOLUTION: A connection is set from an ATM terminal 21 to an LE server 1 to subscribe to a group of an ELAM. On the occurrence of a fault in the server 1, a server port control section 107 issues a command to the terminal 21. The control section 107 of an ATM switch 10 revises priority of registered LE servers, and based on an ATM cell switching table 101, the instruction is sent to the LE server 2 with high priority. Thus, even when an LE server during communication is faulty by connecting a plurality of LE servers to the ATM switching node, the ATM network is not system-down to continue the communication.</p> |
