[Class 61 (i)] [Also in Group XXVIII] The handle 21 of a vacuum cleaner which is yieldingly held in the usual angular position by a roller 29 on a spring pressed pivoted detent lever 30 coacting with end notches 26, 27 and longer central notch 28 in the segmental plate 25 is locked against movement relative to the casing 10, when the machine is lifted, by an arm 32 on the wheel support 15 which, under the influence of gravity and a spring 20, is tilted causing the end of the arm 32 to move under the detent lever 30 and hold it positively in engagement with the notches of the sector 25.
