摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the performance of a magnet, which is made of an Mn-Ga permanent magnet material, enhanced by a method wherein the magnet material is shown by a specified formula and a material having a phase, which has an Al3 Ti crystal structure, as its main phase is used for the magnet. SOLUTION: This permanent magnet material is shown by a general formula, [(Mn1-x Tx)y Ga1-y ]1-z Az, and is made of a material having a phase, which has an Al3 Ti crystal structure, as its main phase. Provided that, the T shows at least one element, which is chosen from among Fe, Co and Ni, the A shows at least one element, which is chosen from a group consisting of N, C, H and B, and the (x), the (y) and the (z) respectively show the conditions of 0<=x<=0.5, 0.6<=y<=0.8 and 0.0001<=z<=0.2. Here, the main phase is one meaning a phase having the largest volume occupation factor among crystalline phases and non- crystalline phases in a compound. The element T may be substituted for at least one element, which is chosen from a group consisting of Ti, V, Cr, Cu, Zr, Hf, Sc, Nb, Mo, W, Si, Al and Ge within the extent of its 20 atomic % or lower.
