<p>A spreadable cold cheese fondue to be applied onto a slice of bread, etc., similar to butter or margarine and having a novel taste. Different from butter and margarine which are rich in fat and stale in taste, the fondue is prepared by, for example, kneading an alcohol-free white wine with cream cheese and sugars such as honey to thereby give a spreadable creamy cold cheese fondue having an appropriate viscosity different from any conventional one. It is a novel food which has a cheese flavor enriched by the wine and sweetness owing to the sugars such as honey and can be conveniently spread like butter and cheese.</p> |
