PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication system in which every combination of two channels is assigned to a mobile station so that mobile stations whose hardware configuration is of infinite variety enhance their functions sufficiently. SOLUTION: A first communication channel is set up between a mobile station 101 and a base station 100. Then the mobile station 101 sends a second communication channel setup request including a request of using one preceding slot of the first communication channel by using an ancillary control channel of the first communication channel to set up the second communication channel. The base station 100 receives the second communication channel setup request and confirms it that a preceding slot (first slot) of the first communication channel requested in the message is used by other mobile station (mobile station 103), then a communication changeover command to a 3rd slot is sent to a mobile station 103 to allow the mobile station 103 to receive the third slot and the base station 100 sends a second communication channel assignment reply including an idle channel CH1-2 (first slot, frequency K2) to set up the synchronization between the mobile station 101 and the second communication channel. |
