PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide simple circuit constitution which does not require AGC control and obtain accurate reliability data corresponding to a noise component. SOLUTION: An RDS signal is binarized by a comparator 2, whose output is sampled with a regeneration clock synchronized with a regeneration carrier to obtain sampled data. Then an accumulator (adder 6 and D-FF7) or low-pass filter obtain the integration result of the sampling output in biphase symbol units, a biphase decoding circuit 9 performs a subtracting process between the integration results of a pair of symbols to obtain differential encoding RDS data with the code of the subtraction result, and a differential decoding circuit 11 differentially decodes the data to obtain RDS data. Further, the absolute value of the subtraction result is compared with a specific threshold value, reliability data are obtained by differential encoding RDS data from the comparison result, and reliability data which is lower between successive reliability data is regarded as reliability data on the RDS data.
