PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a chattering prevention circuit operated surely by employing a mechanical switch having two contacts and a D flip-flop whose D input terminal is connected to the mechanical switch and whose clock input terminal inputs a 1st clock pulse as major components. SOLUTION: This prevention circuit has a mechanical switch 1, D flip-flop circuit 3, and a pulse width revision circuit 4, and one mechanical switch 1 is connected to ground via a 10kΩresistor 2, and other is connected to the input terminal (D1 ) of the D flip-flop (D-FF) circuit 3. A clock interface (CK1) of the D-FF3 is applied with a 1st clock pulse. A noninverting output terminal (Q1 ) of the D-FF3 is connected to an input terminal of the pulse width revision circuit 4, and a 2nd clock pulse is applied to a clock input terminal of the pulse width revision circuit 4. The 2nd clock pulse is synchronized with the 1st clock pulse and inputted to the input terminal (CK2) of the pulse width revision circuit 4, from which a suitable pulse width is obtained.
