LARGE CAPACITY WIRE BRANCHING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To branch a tap wire from a large capacity wire safely and securely by a simple means. SOLUTION: A case made of insulating material is divided into an upper case 1 and a lower case 2. Large capacity wire fitting main trenches 3 which are so formed as to connect both the ends of the cases and have semi-circular cross sections and tap wire fitting branch trenches 4 which are branched out of the middle positions of the main trenches 3 and have openings at the one side ends of the cases are provided in the upper and lower cases 1 and 2 at the corresponding positions so as to face each other. The covers 8a and 9a on the predetermined middle part of the large capacity wire 8 and the end part of the tap wire 9 are removed to expose the conductors at those parts. The exposed conductor parts are connected to each other by crimping with a sleeve 10 made of conductor metal. The connected large capacity wire 8 and tap wire 9 are fitted to the main trench 3 and the branch trench 4 of the upper or lower case 1 or 2 and adhesive is applied to the facing surfaces of both the upper and lower cases 1 and 2 and the one case is put on the other and, in that state, both the cases are held between a pressing jig until the adhesive is cured.
