PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stable and highly quiet operability which does not damage daylight from a window opening. SOLUTION: A space between the upper end 1c of indoor equipment 1 and the upper end 2c of outdoor equipment 2 is integrally connected with a connection unit 3 in such a state that the rear surface 1b of the indoor equipment 1 may be opposed to the rear surface 2b of the outdoor equipment 2 with a desired spacing, thereby constituting an air conditioner. The indoor equipment 1 is positioned on the indoor side of a wall 5 while the outdoor equipment 2 is positioned on the outdoor side of the wall 51 respectively. In this state, the connecting unit 3 is positioned on the lower end edge of a window opening 50 from above, thereby forming the air conditioner so that it may be mounted on the window opening 50. In this mounting state, a grater part of the air conditioner is positioned on the lower side that the lower end edge 52 of the window opening 50 so that the opening area of the window opening may be inhibited as much as possible, thereby maintaining the lighting state to the indoor side from the window opening 50 to a satisfactory extent and upgrading the indoor environment. |
