<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a connection wherein a mold rubber insulator can be temporarily transferred to a curbed cable like an offset section when forming a plug-in connection of a plastic power cable. SOLUTION: A spring-like cylindrical inner core 21 which has an inner diameter larger than an outer diameter of a cable core is installed on an insertion jig 22 which has a peak at its end. Then, this insertion jig 22 is inserted into a mold rubber insulator to expand the diameter of the mold rubber insulator and then only the insertion jig 22 is removed. After that, the mold rubber insulator 10 whose diameter is being expanded by the spring-like cylindrical inner core 21 is temporarily transferred onto one of the cables. After connecting the conductors of the cables, the mold rubber insulator 10 is returned onto the connected section and then the spring-like cylindrical inner core 21 is removed. By this method, the mold rubber insulator is shrinked due to its elasticity and then is closely adhered onto the outer surface of the cable core.</p> |
